2 Timothy 2:20-21 (New King James Version) 20) But in a great house there are not only (A)vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. 21) Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, [a]sanctified and useful for the Master, (B)prepared for every good work.
God saved us not only from eternal damnation, but to be a vessel in which he can work throughout as well. He is the Potter and we are the clay. The Lord wants to mold and shape us daily into the image of his son, Christ Jesus! As being named saints, we should maintain a good witness and testimony amongst mankind. They are watching to see if the life we profess is true. If we are to be and look more like vessels of honor and Righteousness, then we have to be an example to those around us.
