I know this is not a popular subject to preach on in the Bible. But if we claim to be Bible believing Saints, then we should love and embrace all of the Word of God, Not just the parts that we want, or what makes us feel good. With that being said, let's talk briefly about "persecution". Reading the passage in John 15:18-27.
Jesus warned His followers of the coming persecution that would come after he ascended up to Heaven. He didn't want them to be taken by surprise, because this is something they would encounter without a doubt. Many indeed, in the early Church, were persecuted and killed for Christ sake. Again, Matthew 5:10 says"Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven"! Also: follow that with verses 11 and 12. Even today there are certain politicians that are trying to deem people of a certain political bent who loves life, freedom, God, guns, and the constitution as racist and a threat to national security. So the media is used to demonize them and create a deceptive illusion through unhonest talking points. That's just the beginning of where this is going. Persecution will begin by and through legislation in today's world that we live in. Hence the Equality Act passed Submitted and passed by the majority Democratic Congress. This Equality Act isn't what you think it is. Of course, they have to lie and say that it's for the empowerment of Women and LGBT(QRSTUV)movement. Which we can get into another time. There is coming a day when preaching against sin and homosexuality is deemed illegal by these puppets of Satan in the political arena. Nevertheless, we have to speak, preach, and stand up for what the Bible says. Even being ready to go into the fire like the 3 Hebrew boys. We see Jesus was right there with them!
Matthew 10:28 says"And do not fear those who kill the body but can not kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell. In the days ahead, we have some serious choices to make! Don't do like Peter did and deny Christ 3 times. Stand for Christ and suffer for Gospel! I've made up my mind, and I choose Jesus over everything!
In His Service,
