2nd Timothy 4:2 says: 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. As we dive into this passage of scripture, we want to give some nuggets but focus on the gist of the passage and message at hand. We are to Preach the word of God, and not be ashamed. The days are dark and evil, and the devil is busy, because he knows his time is getting shorter and shorter. That's why we have to be bold like Stephen was in the book of Acts, filled with the Holy Spirit and preached boldly, the uncompromising word of the Lord! Preach means to proclaim. So when we share the Gospel or good news of Jesus, we are simply proclaiming the finished work at the Cross! You don't have to have a Bible degree to share the word of God. Simply share your testimony, and what God has done in your life. Share some basic scriptures of salvation. The main goal is to plant a seed in someones life. The seed of the word of God, never returns void. When you share the good news, it does take ahold and have an effect on ones life. People are bold today for their causes, and not ashamed to flaunt their sinful lifestyle in front of others. However, we can still love them like Jesus did, not condoning sin, but have passion for the lost to see them saved! That also means that we have to get up off our behinds and go out to get souls. Not just wait for them to come into the four walls of the church.
