In the church, there's a disagreement on whether politics should be discussed from the pulpit. If you look from the Old Testament when God used Moses to set up government all away up to the New Testament ,there were times when Followers of God had to address and tend to secular affairs. Luke 19:13 tells us to "occupy till I come". This means to busy one self. This was concerning doing the work of the Kingdom. But also standing on the front lines, and being the voice in this dark world concerning the issues of the day. Though we live in this world, we are not of it. That is, the "world mind set and the world system" is what were not a part. We do live in this world so we have to function in this world ok citizens in our communities, etc. So as citizens of your state or on the federal level, there will be issues and laws that affects everybody no matter what your belief or faith is. We are to address what's right and what's wrong from a godly point of view and perspective. We are to call out the bad and the good, regardless of what person, political branch, or organization says or does. And yes, Whether it's right or left wing , we have to stand for the truth always. And the word of God should be the absolute On how we judge all things from a spiritual point of view.
