Ministry of Reconciliation

Writer's picture: Lucas SantanaLucas Santana

2nd Corinthians 5:18-19(KJV)

[18] And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; [19] To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

The verse before 18 says"Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation(creature). Old things have passed away, behold all things are become new".

We are a new creation because of Christ's sacrifice and blood he shed for us on the cross. To wash us clean of our sins and he reconciled us to a Holy, righteous, and perfect God. Jesus served as the mediator between God and mankind. When we were made enemies, we have been brought back together through the death of God's son Jesus Christ the Righteous one. Adams disobedience allowed sin in this world. Jesus had to come and restore what man had lost. He went to the cross for us and paid the greatest price that no man could pay. Jesus paid it with his very life, serving as our great high priest, allowing us access to God the Father by what Jesus accomplished at Calvary. Now we have a Ministry of Reconciliation. After salvation, we are to preach(which means proclaim)the gospel of Jesus Christ. Simply share with others your testimony and the gospel with others. Tell the world about Jesus. First tell your neighbors, friends, co-workers, etc. You never know who is desperate for change, deliverance, and healing in their lives. Give them Jesus!

Blessings,
