LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE BRIGHT!!!

Writer's picture: Lucas SantanaLucas Santana

Greetings in The wonderful name of Jesus! Matthew 5:13-16 says"You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his saver, wherewith shall it be salted? It is therefore good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden Under foot of men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle oh, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven".

These are the wonderful words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! He was our greatest example when it came to walking in the ways that God come in to. He told us to let our light shine because as believers, Jesus (who is the light of the world) now lives in our heart according to 2nd Corinthians chapter 5 verse 17. So by the power and the ability of the Holy Spirit, we can allow his light to radiate in us and through us for His glory to be manifested amongst those around us. Sometimes the only Jesus that sinners May see, is through you. People are watching you and studying how you live, and how you act, even when you don't think they are not. So it's important for us to always be on guard spiritually, to guard our witness and the profession of faith that we do profess amongst others. If we don't let our light shine, then we look just like the world. And it's hard to convince an unbeliever to come to Christ when they don't see no difference between a Christian and non-believer. People who don't have the light of Christ in them, lives in darkness. So, not only do we have to be a light and example to them, but we have to lead them to the light, which is Christ Jesus!
