It's A Matter of the Heart(Pt.1)

Writer's picture: Lucas SantanaLucas Santana

Matthew 22:37"Jesus said unto him, thou shalt love the Lord thy God with All thy heart, and with All thy soul, and with All thy mind". If you look at the whole pasage of the text. Primarily beginning with verses 34 through 40. Here we see that these teachers of religious law were trying to tempt Jesus into saying the wrong thing, so that they could have him arrested or find a reason to kill him because of blasphemy.

These So called, "religious leaders" we're not sincere, but had a different motive and agenda. Their hearts were not right with God, yet they looked holy, and Upright before men. God knows the heart. He created it. These teachers of religious law, knew how to talk the talk. But they didn't walk the walk. They had a "form of godliness"(outwardly), but they denied the true power there of, as the scripture says. They looked good, talked good, even pretending to walk good, but in God's eyes they stunk before the Lord. And read what Jesus really had to say about them in Matthew chapter 23.
