Mark 8:38 “Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” (KJV)
We can't be ashamed of Christ, if we say we love him. People are bold and proud of their sinful lifestyle and ungodly ways. No shame whatsoever. So then, Why are some so called Christians, bashful, ashamed, or embarrassed to say they are born again? We read whay the scripture says. Are you ashamed of your spouse around certain people, as opposed to other groups you're around? Are you afraid to say you're in a relationship with that person because you're afraid of what people say or think. I don't hope you do that. Most of you wouldn't do that. But that's how some treat Christ. If you have something special, you'll let the whole world know. Jesus deserves that same treatment. Don't claim to be saved only when it's convenient. Either you're all in, or all out. God doesn't need any secret agent Christians. Otherwise, if you play that game with God till you take your last breath, you'll wake up into eternity, standing before God, this is what you don't want to happen according to Matthew 10:32-33 which says "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33) But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven".
